AnatoMiq is an interactive 3D anatomy atlas for medical, dental, nursing and physiotherapy students, operated by Fadi Shehadeh (contact: fshehadeh@gmail.com). This page explains what personal data the app and its account system collect, and what we do (and don't do) with it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email (used as your login) and phone number (used to contact you on WhatsApp about your subscription).
- Password: stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — we cannot see or recover your actual password.
- Payment reference: a note about your payment (e.g. a Whish Money reference), so we can match a payment to your account. We never see or store your card or bank details — payment is made directly through Whish Money, outside the app.
- Study data: notes, bookmarks, saved camera views, drawings and pinned landmarks you create in the app, synced to our server so they're backed up and available on your other devices.
- Feedback you send us: any message you submit through the in-app Feedback form.
- Basic technical data: your IP address, kept briefly to prevent abuse (e.g. repeated failed sign-in attempts), and sign-in/sign-out timestamps.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account, and let you sign in.
- To sync your notes and study data across your own devices.
- To contact you about your subscription — renewal reminders, support, or announcements about the app — by WhatsApp or email.
- To read and respond to feedback you send us.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored in a database on our own server, backed up nightly. It is not stored with, or processed by, any third-party analytics, advertising or data-broker service.
Data on your device
AnatoMiq works offline: your study data and downloaded 3D models are also stored locally on your device (in your browser's local storage) so the app works without an internet connection. This local copy stays on your device — clearing your browser's site data removes it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, email fshehadeh@gmail.com and we'll remove it.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Just email fshehadeh@gmail.com.
Children
AnatoMiq is built for university-level students and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
